Play Pokémon Rumblefield in your phone or desktop browser.
After making Evo! Partner Expedition, I wanted to try another kind of Pokémon battle. The Pokémon would move and attack on their own, while I decided when to swap, evolve or use an Ultimate during the fight. That idea became Pokémon Rumblefield.
You bring a team of three, with one Pokémon normally fighting at a time. Watch the battle and spend the Poké Balls you earn on swaps, shields, evolution and temporary partner support. Ultimates charge separately and become usable when a Pokémon reaches its final form.
The decisions I want the game to offer are small but consequential. Do you shield a wounded partner or bring in the next one? Evolve now, or save your Poké Balls for another opening? Which two partners work well together? Different teams should have different rhythms.
For a first game, start with Solo Adventure, choose a difficulty and adjust your team before a random battle. To play with a friend, create a room and send the invite link. You can duel each other or take on co-op challenges. The Pokédex lets you browse the partners you collect as you try new teams.
I am still refining the balance, controls and move effects. If you like Pokémon and the idea of making tactical decisions while watching a battle unfold, come try a match.
